A Den Chief is a troop-level scout who assists a cub scout Den Leader (Wolf, Bear, Webelos, or AOL) at Den and Pack meetings and other Pack events. The Den Chief mentors cub scouts while acquainting them with the world of Scouting, including outdoor activities, opportunities for advancement, trips, etc.<\/p><p>As a Den Chief, you will serve as a role model and scouting expert for younger cub scouts, and encourage cub scouts in their advancement and shares his\/her enthusiasm for Scouting with the den. Complete online Den Chief Training<\/strong><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scouting.org\/training\/youth\/den-chief-training\/\">https:\/\/www.scouting.org\/training\/youth\/den-chief-training\/<\/a><\/p><p><em>Why do we have you complete the online training first? The Den<\/em><br \/><em>Chief role is a unique and wonderful opportunity, but it is a role<\/em><br \/><em>with responsibilities that requires commitment for a <strong>full year<\/strong>. It is<\/em><br \/><em>important to understand the requirements and expectations of<\/em><br \/><em>becoming a Den Chief from the beginning, to help you decide<\/em><br \/><em>whether it is a role you feel you can commit to for a full year.<\/em><\/p><p><strong>2. Get permission from your Scoutmaster and troop Committee<\/strong><br \/><strong>Chair<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>3. Send an inquiry email to Pack 525 at tracycubpack525@gmail.com<\/strong><\/p><p>Your email must:<\/p><ul><li>cc both your Scoutmaster and at least one parent<br \/>or guardian<\/li><li>Include your name and current rank<\/li><li>Explain your reason for wanting to become a den chief, as well<br \/>as why you feel you would make a great Den Chief for<br \/>the pack<\/li><li>Describe your Cub Scout Experience including highest cub scout rank<br \/>earned (if applicable)<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>4. Interview with the pack Cubmaster and Committee Chair<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>5.
